Staff are supported by an Enterprise Bargaining Agreement and have the opportunity to salary sacrifice.

Yorke Peninsula Community Transport currently employs the services of staff and some 165 volunteers to serve the community in the Yorke Peninsula providing a variety of transport solutions.  Having an impact through more than just transport, the organisation has recently began it’s transformation by also introducing a community visitor scheme as of January 2019.  YPCT was originally founded 25 years ago and today is a sound, highly respected, and reliable organisation that is utilised by thousands of people annually.  Due to a retiring Regional Manager, and now at a time of change and transformation, there is now an opportunity for a General Manager to lead and take the organisation into the future.

The role of the General Manager is a broad, varied and rewarding role far beyond the daily responsibilities.  The General Manager will be accountable to a qualified Board of Directors and report frequently on all business performance, human resource requirements and financials.  The organisation is now poised to review and propose new streams of service provisions that are valuable to the community and sustainable for the organisations future.  The General Manager will be required to develop and lead implementation strategies to ensure that there is sound operational management practices in place to achieve key objectives.

This position requires a high level of stakeholder engagement, government interactions and negotiations, and in addition to that, a capacity to participate on various industry bodies and committees for the benefit of the broader regional communities and organisation.  The General Manager will come with a proven history of successfully leading diverse teams in a community focussed and service orientated organisation. They will be well versed in developing strategy, managing business financials and possess a professional and collaborative leadership style with people management experience.  This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work towards the betterment of the community through service and commercialisation of new and refreshed service opportunities.
