YP Community Transport is a stand-alone incorporated association under the Associations Incorporation Act 1985, managed by a Board with directors, comprising representatives of our funding bodies, local councils, volunteers and consumers and/or the community.

PETER SMITH

Chairperson (Volunteer Representative)

Peter has been volunteering with YPCT as a driver, car inspector

and Board member. In his position of Chairperson, Peter says,

"I hope to bring some new thoughts and ideas to what is already a very good board synergy."

MEG SNODGRASS

Vice-Chairperson (Community Representative)

With a work history in Aged Care, first as a Director of Nursing and then as a Standards Agency Accreditor, Meg brings a wealth of knowledge to YPCT related to monitoring, accreditation, standards, audits and policy development.

REBECCA HEWETT

Barunga West Council Representative

Councillor Rebecca Hewett is in her second year as YPCT Board member. She has years of business experience running her family's large farming enterprise. She is also experienced in policy development and strategic planning evolving from involvement on many boards and committees over the years.

LEANNE O'BRIEN

Yorke Peninsula Council Representative

Councillor, Leanne O'Brien has an extensive background of business and is passionate about health and well-being in the community. Leanne is currently working as a Support Worker in the disability and aged sector, therefore bringing hands-on knowledge and understanding of issues and concerns in the this area.

CATHY VLUGGEN

Copper Coast Council Representative

Currently in her second term as an elected member of the Copper Coast Council, Cathy lives in Wallaroo with husband Con (also a YPCT volunteer). Cathy spends much of her time volunteering for various organisations and is a keen lawn bowler. A member of the YPCT Board of Management for almost five years, she enjoys the role and believes the team are achieving a lot.

WAYNE WEBB

Volunteer Representative

Wayne has a background as a risk analyst and experience in safety & risk management and employee relations. He has also developed policies and procedures and worked in the area of strategic planning management, bringing a wide range of experience to the board. Wayne also volunteers with YPCT and other community organisations.

Community Representative

Susanna brings to the YPCT Board, strong administrative, business and community knowledge in a wide range of sectors.

ELIZABETH SCHULTZ

Volunteer Representative

With 25 years experience working with people living with a disability and their families, as well as working as a volunteer bus companion for YPCT, Elizabeth brings a great desire to help people and the ability to see things from the community perspective, while also looking at the bigger picture. Elizabeth is also a member of the YPCT Fundraising Committee.

DENNIS SMITH

Volunteer Representative

With five years experience, including  as a driver for YPCT and Wallaroo Health campus and carer and phone support person for Red Cross, Dennis enjoys helping with the elderly and disabled in the community, while being also able to bring a different perspective and point of view.

Guest Speaking

We aim to raise awareness of our organisation and the services we provide both in transport and community visiting, as well as available volunteer options to those who are interested.

We have a guest speaker available to attend community group meetings and functions to outline the services we offer.
